Biography

Over the last few years Roger Gerressen has proved himself to be one of the most versatile artists out there, trying not to be predictable with his DJ sets nor his creative output as a producer. As an upcoming DJ in the early 2000’s he got the chance to warm up crowds on a regular basis at the legendary Planet Rose clubnights, which made his hometown Nijmegen (NL) an excellent place to develop his skills and to obtain a broad taste in music. The dutch town always had a strong history in electronic music, but remained small enough not to be influenced by trends or hypes: a perfect spot to create your signature sound and identity.

After his first releases on the local Wolfskuil Records he co-founded ESHU Records in 2011 and was a driving force in group projects like ESHU, Dilated Pupils and ARC#. Real recognision came after a string of well received solo releases on Fear Of Flying Records (and sub-label SuddenDrop), an LP as Gasometric Run, and his many collaborations with Ivano Tetelepta. A few years down the line it was time for a new direction which resulted in parting ways with ESHU Records and starting his own label (OGUN Records) and a few known (and still to be revealed) monikers to provide him with the creative freedom he was looking for..

Years of DJ’ing has given him the chance to see many parts of the world, playing in cities such as: New York (Resolute), London (Fabric), Moscow (Arma17, Rodnya), Paris (Concrete, Rex Club), Tokyo (Solfa), Montreal (Stereo), Amsterdam (Trouw), Berlin (Tresor, CDV) and many more..

Now, after a creative one-year hiatus, he found his way into the Yoyaku family and he's ready to move dancefloors once again.
